We'd rather make fewer, better garments than more disposable ones. Here's what we do today, and what we don't claim.
Concrete, not vague
Our sock range uses 90% organic cotton (GOTS) or 77% organic cotton (OCS), grown without harmful chemicals.
Our micro-polyester performance range is certified free from harmful substances at the fabric level.
GOTS socks blend 8% recycled polyester for durability without adding virgin plastic.
Durability is the sustainability lever we control
Cheap apparel is inexpensive to buy but expensive to own. It shrinks, fades, cracks and gets replaced — usually within a year. Every reorder to replace a garment that failed is waste that never had to happen.
So our first sustainability commitment is quality: pre-shrunk fabrics, colourfast dyes, anti-pilling finishes and wash testing before dispatch. A uniform that survives three years of daily washing is better for the planet than a 'green' garment that survives three months.
The standards behind our certified ranges
Each certification applies to a specific range, not the whole catalogue. Certificates are shared on request and confirmed per order.
Global Organic Textile Standard: organic fibre content plus environmental and social criteria across processing.
Organic Content Standard: third-party verification of organic material content from farm to finished product.
Every component of the fabric tested for harmful substances against a list updated annually.
Global Recycled Standard for recycled content, available on specific polyester constructions when the order requires it.
Badge artwork: official certification marks are trademarks licensed to certificate holders. Drop the files supplied by your certification body into /public/certs/ (gots.png, ocs.png, oeko-tex.png, grs.png) and they appear here automatically. Until then the slot shows the name only.
It starts in the field.
Organic cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilisers and uses less water in most growing regions. On our GOTS and OCS sock ranges that's verified through the supply chain — not assumed.
For the rest of the range we buy combed cotton from Tiruppur's spinning mills, where quality is controlled at the yarn stage. Better yarn means a garment that lasts longer, which is the sustainability lever we control every day.
