Home/Resources/Case studies/Event tees for a 10,000-runner marathon
Case study

Ten thousand tees. One race day.

A city marathon needed sponsor-branded dry-fit tees for every runner, delivered to the expo two days before the race.

Runners at the start line in matching dry-fit tees

Requirement → recommendation → result

1Requirement

10,000 pieces, S–3XL spread, four sponsor logos, delivered to the expo venue on a fixed date.

2Recommendation

160–190 GSM micro polyester with wicking and UPF 50+; sublimated sponsor panel to avoid hand-feel; sample locked 5 weeks out.

3Production

Timeline built backwards from expo load-in with a buffer; in-line checks; size-sorted cartons by bib range.

4Result

Delivered on the agreed day. Zero size-swap queue at the expo because cartons matched the bib list.
